Negotiations continue amid delays to the 2023 budget

Iraq’s 2023 budget will be delayed after the government failed to submit the proposed budget law before parliament went on recess last week. MPs will return at the beginning of next year, but it will take several weeks for the political blocs to hammer out the final details before the law can be put to a vote.
