Amid ongoing diplomatic exchanges and financial complexities, Iraq’s northern oil pipeline to Turkey remains shut down, marking a year of impasse since its closure. Despite numerous high-level meetings between Turkish and Iraqi delegations, prospects for a reopening in the immediate term remain slim, underscoring the political and financial hurdles that need to be overcome.

The shutdown of the northern pipeline has not only disrupted crucial oil revenue streams but has also escalated financial strains on the KRG, with estimated revenue losses totaling around $12 billion.
