Iraq’s political elite express solidarity with the Palestinian cause

Iraq’s political elite have responded to the events in Gaza with messages of solidarity with the Palestinian cause. But pledges of material support to Gaza by some Shia factions in Iraq are largely aimed at pandering to their domestic base.
