Sadr Condemns German Foreign Minister's Remarks Over Gaza

Muqtada Al-Sadr has issued a letter to the German Embassy in Baghdad in response to remarks made by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock to the German Parliament. Baerbock's comments appeared to justify Israel’s targeting of civilian infrastructure in Gaza.

Speaking on October 10, Baerbock stated: "This is why I made it clear that when Hamas terrorists hide behind civilians, behind schools, we end up in very difficult waters. But we’re not shying away from this. This is why I made it clear at the United Nations that civilian sites could lose their protected status if terrorists abuse this status."
