Sudani makes immediate shake-up as Commander-in-Chief

One of PM al-Sudani’s first moves after being sworn in was to take the decision to replace General Muhammad Hameed al-Bayati as secretary to the Commander-in-Chief. As some one who had served three successive prime ministers, Bayati had built up a prominent public persona and his removal will likely impact the process of officer promotions and transfers.
