This week, PM Sudani sought to shore up his government’s credibility at home and abroad. Cabinet’s decision to reduce the cost of mobile and internet services is part of Sudani’s domestic agenda aimed at improving services and tackling corruption. Sudani sought to extend an olive branch to Iraq’s Arab neighbours with quick visits to Jordan and Kuwait.  Facing their own domestic challenges, Iran and Turkey both lashed out this week with illegal military bombardments in northern Iraq. Meanwhile, more allegations of Kadhimi-era corruption have surfaced, this time levelled by Kadhimi’s former spokesperson.
