After revaluation, Sudani government segues to other priorities
Yesterday’s decision to revalue the Iraqi dinar has given the government temporary reprieve after weeks of mounting public discontent over the monetary crisis. Since December, the government struggled to focus public attention on its other priorities while it dealt with the slide in the country’s currency. Following the revaluation decision, PM Sudani appeared in a press conference where he sought to shift media attention towards the government’s work in other areas.
